Simon Hogg is a councillor for Latchmere ward, Battersea, and leader of Wandsworth Labour.
In 2011, Simon led successful community campaigns to save York Gardens Library and to stop the Tory council charging children £2.50 to use a playground.
Simon served as chair of Battersea Labour Party in 2008, its centenary year. To mark the local Labour Party’s 100th birthday, volunteers created the historical documentary video ‘Red Battersea’.
After training as a scientist, Simon worked as a journalist.
He lives in Tooting with his wife and three children and works for the homelessness charity Shelter.
